Text Box:  OBJECTIVES   Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:   · Gain an understanding of the intricate subtle components of typical and atypical motor development and their interplay.   · Learn to recognize compensations and deviations from typical movements.   · Practice methods of facilitating desired movements while inhibiting undesired movement activity.   · Gain an awareness of the principles of assessment and treatment used in NDT Baby Treatment and the appropriate application of these principles.   · Observe and critically analyze demonstrations of baby assessment, treatment techniques and sequences.

Text Box: About the Instructor Lois Bly   Lois Bly, MA, PT, is an internationally respected NDT Coordinator-Instructor and clinician who offers seminars, workshops and NDT Certification courses throughout the US, Canada, South America, Australia, Germany, Hong Kong and South Africa. Ms. Bly was certified in Neuro Developmental Treatment by the Bobaths in London and received her NDT Instructor’s Certification in Switzerland.   Ms. Bly received the NDTA Award of Excellence in 2000. She received her Master’s degree in Motor Learning from Teacher’s College, Columbia University.  She has authored several publications including:       MONOGRAPH: The Components of Normal Movement During the First Year of Life and Abnormal Motor Development, Neuro Developmental Treatment Association, Inc., Motor Skills Acquisition in the First Year: An Illustrated Guide to Normal Development.
