Sharron Reilly, OTR (Clinical Director Northwest)

Sharron graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch's School of OT in 1995.  She has worked solely as a pediatric therapist, first at Bay Area Rehabilitation Center from 1995 to 2005.  She received 100 hours of training in the Assistive Technology Application Certificate Program (ATACP) from the California State University, Northridge's College of Extended Learning and received two years of training from the regional State Educational Center (Region IV).  She has attended and conducted numerous seminars and in-services on assistive technology and sensory integration.  She has lectured on assistive technology to the OT program at UTMB.  She was on the Board of Directors of the Rehabilitation Foundation from 1997 to 2000 and was responsible for the Rehabilitation Technology Expo of People with Disabilities held annually from 1997-1999, which allowed hundreds of people with disabilities and their families to learn about the technology available today that can improve their lives.  Sharron is certified in Brain Gym and her special interests include sensory integration and praxis, assistive technology/augmentative communication, seating and positioning, serial/inhibitory casting and handwriting.  Sharron is the primary education coordinator for organizing our student program. She is assisting with marketing and advertising efforts for all four locations.


Carmen Kelley PT

Carmen is a pediatric and adult physical therapist. She graduated from Southwestern University in 1985 with a degree in Biology.  She then completed her Master’s degree in physical therapy from Texas Women’s University, Houston in 1987.

She has been a physical therapist for over 20 years primarily working with a varied adult caseload.  She came to NTS in 2001 and works part time in the Northwest location.  She has received her certification in Sensory Integration (SIPT).

Keri Morris, PT

Keri is thrilled to be back at NTS after a nine-month stint in Washington, D.C.  While accompanying her husband to D.C. for a graduate program, Keri practiced in an outpatient pediatric clinic. Keri works primarily with children and has a special love for pediatrics.  Since graduating from the University of Utah in 2003 with her Master of Physical Therapy degree, Keri has practiced in outpatient pediatrics, early intervention, outpatient orthopedics and inpatient rehabilitation.  Keri completed the NDT Training in August 2005 (8-week neurodevelopmental treatment course for children with cerebral palsy).  Among other topics, Keri has continued education in manual therapy, sensory integration, baby treatment, orthotics and taping, and orthopedic interventions.  Keri enjoys spending time with her husband and new puppy.

Toni Perkins, PTA

Toni has been practicing as a physical therapist assistant since January 2000.  She enjoys treating clients on land and in aquatic settings.  She began working at NTS in October 2006.  Prior to this, she practiced at an outpatient rehabilitation center specializing in pediatrics, school based therapy and early childhood intervention program.  Toni has attended numerous continuing education courses to develop skills in NDT, MFR, taping and aquatics.  She enjoys working with adaptive equipment – standers, walkers and wheelchairs, to see that functional use and positioning is optimal.  In her spare time, she likes to work in the yard, visit friends and go to the beach.

Mirian Guevara, OTR

Miriam graduated from Houston Community College with an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy.  Then she went back to school to University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston; she graduated in December 2004 with honor and Award of Excellence in Practice during field work.  Miriam  is now a certified provider of the Interactive Metronome!! Miriam has been working in adult setting with a variety of diagnosis.  Miriam has been interested in the pediatric setting.  She did one of the field works at the OTC under Lynn Tupper supervision.  She learned about sensory integration.  Miriam came to NTS in August 2006.  She loves to travel and spend time with her husband and children, Joshua and Allyson.

 

Lisa Waguespack Therapy Technician

Hi, my name is Lisa Waguespack. I have known Carol for over 18 years, and that is a long time.  First, as my therapist, then I have worked at NTS and for two years.  The people that I work with are really helpful to me. I like to work with kids because they make me smile and I like working with the Therapist too. I live with my Mom and Dad. They help if I need it. I went to the Monarch School for the 9th grade and I stayed until the 12 grade. Then, after I graduated, I went to work at NTS.  I have two cats Lanny and Marti. One is an American short hair the other is a tabby. I have a pool in my back yard and I like to swim a lot.   

 

Tammie McMahan Office Manager

Tammie is the business office manager.  She brings 13+ years experience to NTS and has been with us for 5+ years.  She holds an AAS in Court Reporting and has taken several advanced classes in insurance billing.  She is the mother of two young boys and one crazy dog.

Blanca Alonzo Medical Records

Blanca is the medical records coordinator for NTS.  She has been with NTS for over 12 years.  Along with records coordinator responsibilities, she also takes on many other roles including:  typing, reception duties, & decorator.  In other words, Blanca is everyone’s right hand woman!  In her spare time, she enjoys painting.

Jenny Phillips -Billing Specialist

Jenny Philips joined NTS in July of 2004 as our scheduler.  She has worked several years in the medical field and plans to go back to college this summer to complete her basics.  Jenny has been happily married for 3 years and wishes to start a family soon.  Her favorite things to do are spending time with family, shopping, baking, reading magazines, watching movies, and of course eating!!
